gótico tropical is an experimental editorial project co-founded by Luísa Bacelar and Laura Gómez that publishes zines and magazines related to migration and cultural displacement, with a focus point in drawing and handmade prints and bookbinding.
As we moved across the ocean, we felt outsiders, a feeling only emerged after movement.
Our interest lies in publications with a disjointed or non-linear narrative structure. Each of our projects is an experimental diary, and every piece is a product of personal experiences from the authors.
